1. Booties! A fall must. I'm so excited to wear these with EVERYTHING- jeans, dresses, skirts. Booties are very versatile and can be dressed up or down and since I will be wearing them a lot I want something with not too high of a heel. I am a huge fan of Rachel Comey shoes (so soft!) and will be saving up to purchase these beautiful booties. They are simple, yet they can be easily dressed up or down and the chunky heel will allow me to be on my feet for hours. (Rachel Comey Short Boot $345)
2. Tights! Colored, pattern, basic, knit-you name it, I want it! Tights can add so much to an outfit. Whether they are just matte black or covered in flowers they can make a boring outfit exciting. I plan on wearing tights under some tap shorts or with all the great fall mini dresses coming out this season. These basic tights from A.P.C would look good paired with booties, high waisted pencil skirt, and a tissue turtleneck for fall. (APC Tights $80)
3. Prints! Prints are everywhere this season, and I personally love winter floral and anything geometric. This season we will see prints on just about everything (blouses, dresses, skirts, tights). This fall I plan on wearing a lot of deep, rich patterns like this gorgeous Soma dress from Steve Alan. Anyone can pull off prints, but just make sure you don't go overboard. Try pairing a printed top with solid bottoms or vice versa. If your wearing a dress with a lot of print and it looks overwhelming break up the pattern by using a belt or long solid cardigan.
