Black or Tan

I'm contemplating the purchase of these Rachel Comey boots and at $345, they need to be PERFECT! I can't decide between Black or Nougat....



What do you think?

P.S. Do you ever fall in love with a style that you significant other dislikes (rather passionately)? Sadly the husband thinks these are less-than-awesome, while I am imaging all of the exciting Fall/Winter adventures I will have in these boots...
